Where I put My Money..

People often ask me where I put my money when I am “unmarried and don’t have a family of my own.” The answer is quite simple—I spend it on days that makes me warm and happy on the inside.

For one, I’ve caught the travel bug right after finishing college. I’ve been feeding it until now. We all know going places doesn’t come free to everyone, myself included. I honestly don’t make much, I have to really save up so I can keep ticking things off my list.

I particularly love going to the beach even if I’m not a swimmer. To me, the ocean has magical healing powers. Whatever burden I bring to the sea, the waves washes them away. I keep seeking the waters not because I’m always broken. It’s because I need a constant reminder that there is a happy place and we all deserve our own.

At this point I don’t really care if people tell me I’m naive for putting my money in my travels. I’m not stupid to put everything there anyway. I guess the whole point of this post is go spend what you have on the things that make you happy. You’ve worked hard on that money. You’ve earned that time off. Take it and go.

If it makes you happy, as long as you’re not doing harm to others and to nature, do it. It’s such a cliché to say life is short but I’ve somehow grown old enough to understand that. I hope this post was the sign you were waiting for. Chase your happy place and when you find it, never let it go.
